I went to Dubai for a week –what week it was. Dubai is amazing, clean with a great infrastructure. I was using a subway mostly however you need to realise that it is far from every metro station to different attractions. Be prepared to walk a lot. Another alternative are taxies which are not expensive. 30km 80 AED, no bad, to be honest – cheap.

Let me indicate that Dubai has 2 international airports which I was not aware of. Second airport Al Maktoum is approx. 50km far from Dubai which takes 1 hour drive.

I have bought my holidays with TUI having a direct flight from Katowice to Dubai by charter airlines Enter Air – never again. Flight is long and aircraft is very uncomfortable. Not mentioning luggage limits and paid drinks&food service (at least I knew it in advance). Remember to check your passport before departure. It must be valid for at least 6 months.

I stayed in the aparthotel Golden Sands: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g295424-d308513-Reviews-Golden_Sands_Hotel_Apartments_Dubai-Dubai_Emirate_of_Dubai.html

I totally do not recommend staying in this district which is called: Mankhoul. It is a bedroom for all expats from India and Pakistan.  Marina is a place where hotel should be located even if you must spend extra money. Room was spacious, not very clean (we had a cockroach, but in this climate, it is normal). Hotel offers 1 heated swimming pool on the roof and tiny pool close to the bar. In the bar you can buy alcoholic beverages. Food – well, everything is for Indians not Europeans. The only good thing for breakfast is freshly made omelettes and fried eggs. Bread is old, no normal ham, no cheese – I know that these products are expensive but Europeans are hotel’s clientele so they could put tiny effort to accommodate all client’s tastes.

In Dubai are some many things to see and experience than 1 week is not enough. You need to book in advance your visit in Burj Khalifa. If you plan to visit Dubai aquarium buy combo tickets, they allow you to have fast track to aquarium or other attractions. https://tickets.atthetop.ae/atthetop/en-us?_ga=2.103598919.67432861.1673968379-168187467.1672113782

Marina cruise is a must. I used a company called: Xclusive Yachts for lunch time. Timing was perfect, I could see everything from the yacht, barbeque was top class, very tasty. It is not cheap but worth the money.

I recommend going and visiting Souk al Bahar which is very close to Dubai Mall (other part of the shopping centre).

The Museum of the Future is also very impressive.

Dubai Frame is the best to see and take pictures from Zaabel park, entrance to the park costs only 5 AED.

I also loved the “old Dubai” where you can try traditional Arabic coffee and take a boat to famous markets: Gold Souk & Spices Souk.
